About Douglas Healy

A Springfield, Missouri-based energy law attorney, Douglas Healy has served as a managing member of his firm since 2007, throughout which time he has provided counsel to National Steel of America and CenturyTel, among other companies, and represented clients across North America, Asia, and Europe. Douglas Healy's primary client in Missouri is the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission (MJMEUC), which he represents in state and federal litigation, as well as administrative matters. Attorney Healy also participates in the Transmission Access Policy Study Group on behalf of the MJMEUC.

In addition to legal assistance to private companies and public agencies, Douglas Healy has authored dozens of articles on utility regulation and litigation for trade magazines. He also holds membership with the American Public Power Association and the Republican National Lawyers Association.

His prior legal experience includes service with the Missouri Public Service Commission, the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office, and Duncan & Pierce. He earned his juris doctor from the University of Arkansas and completed a bachelor of science in business administration from Liberty University, the lattermost of which he graduated magna cum laude and earned National Honor Society distinction.
